In this role, the Website Content Manager will work as part of a newly formed enterprise digital marketing team who are focused on the digital transformation of Greystar globally ensuring our online presence clearly positions us as the global leader in rental housing.  They will work with range a of stakeholders to develop the company content strategy and deliver optimised content for greystar.com engaging and acquiring our target audiences and converting them into lifelong customers. This role is hands on, you will be creating, developing and strategising on how to maximise the impact of our business through greystar.com and how best to communicate our value propositions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The translation of brand, commercial and communication objectives to specific content deliverables for greystar.com, overseeing day-to-day content output to ensure content is delivered in line with the digital content roadmap.
  • Defining and safeguarding best practice content creation, standards and processes, and providing guidance and capability building where required.
  • Creating best practice documentation as a guide for the company’s digital marketers, content contributors and other business partners.
  • Developing and enforcing an efficient and effective briefing process for content planning and production.
  • Working within the digital team defining SEO business objectives, forecasting, and reporting performance results continuously identifying improvements for content management processes and tools and to drive SEO.
  • Content production, turning content themes and ideas into impactful content pieces that support user journeys. Working with the team’s internal designer and external creative partners to deliver written, film or graphic content as appropriate to target audiences.
  • Proactively shares the teams vision and strategy ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the group’s goals.
  • Prioritising work to ensure the enterprise function is adding value with a primary focus on the Greystar brand, our owned brands, investment funds/assets.
  • Ensuring all web content is accurate, accessible and optimised for search and written in the in-house style. This includes editing and proofreading content provided by colleagues.
  • Adapting and repurposing existing material for web content. Creating new content based on business and market priorities.
  • Regularly reviewing web content to ensure it is accurate, up to date and meets SEO best practice.
  • Managing day-to-day change requests for content updates.
  • Publishing material on the website in line with agreed priorities and the digital communications plan.
  • Ensuring web governance and digital guidelines are adhered to.
  • Managing pre and post deployment testing and QA to drive improved customer engagement.
  • Ensuring appropriate landing page strategies are in place for campaign optimisation.
  • Undertaking SEO activities related to content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings.
  • Monitoring SEO performance on a daily basis, highlighting areas for concern as they arise.
  • Inputting on platform development to enhance SEO and content marketing impact.
  • Performing keyword studies and develops strategies to address different user groups.
  • Reporting performance against targets, builds dashboards to enable the enterprise group to assess results against expectations and improve channel/programme effectiveness.
  • Stays up to date with new digital technologies and SEO best practices.
Your Profile:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) ideally with a marketing or digital focus; or by equivalent experience.
  • Experience with using Content Management Systems, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, SEO measurement tools, CRM and ESP providers.
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms.
  • IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (intermediate).
  • Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
  • Strong fluency in platform and app technology.
  • Strong content management skills for web and social including; copywriting, editing, proofing, written and oral communications skills (English). Experience of writing for B2B and B2C audience is preferable.
  • Proven experience as SEO Manager or similar role with demonstrable practical SEM and SEO experience.
  • Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices.
  • Experience with SEO reporting.
  • Extensive experience of writing for various digital channels, and of managing content delivery.
  • Experience of using analytics data, user feedback, and user research to define or refine content so that it best meets user need.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience of reporting on content performance, organisational and campaign objectives and goal completions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Adobe.
