Job Description

We are looking for a General Operations Manager to lead our team at Greenford Green – Greystar’s newest development.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of one of the UK's largest purpose built Multifamily (Build to Rent) developments based on the ground of the historic grand union canal, in Greenford. The development is bringing the previously derelict 20.3 acre site back to life, and will consist of 1,965 homes across 7 buildings - all with on-site management and resident amenities including roof terraces, resident lounges and courtyards. The development will also have a wealth of amenities for residents and the local community alike, including shops, workspaces, an on-site healthcare centre, and a primary school.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight and management of the Multifamily (Build to Rent) business at Greenford Green (approx. 1200 multifamily units currently built and in pipeline)
  • Conduct and accomplish procurement of operations contracts
  • Contribute to creation, development and implementation of operating processes and expectations
  • Achievement of financial targets in a fast-past, high growth and ever-changing environment
  • Delivery of a complex and resilient structure covering Community Management, Leasing, Concierge, Resident Events Management, Maintenance and Estates
  • Fostering strong relationships and working partnerships with outsourced contractors and local authorities & services stakeholders
  • Ensuring high-standard asset quality across Multifamily buildings and surrounding areas in collaboration with Estates Management team
  • Market outreach initiatives within the submarkets of Greenford and the Borough in order to drive interest, awareness and traffic to Greenford Green with the scope to create an enlivened Community

The ideal manager will have:

  • Extensive multi-site management experience in a customer service business with similar key drivers
  • Evidence of a successful record in applying leadership acumen to develop a people, financial and commercial strategy which delivers outstanding results
  • Key skills: Multiple stakeholder collaboration, community engagement,  excellent communication cascaded down to teams and across Multifamily Senior Operations team; deep understanding of occupancy processes and analytics with scope to drive optimisation, engaging and motivating multi-disciplinary teams
  • Previous leasing and property management experience along with an understanding of building/asset management would be advantageous as is completion of ARLA, IRPM, RICS
