Job Description
We are looking for an Investment Associate to join our Global Investment team. 

Based in London, the Global Investment Associate is responsible for supporting Greystar’s growth into international global markets (Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America).  This will include working across numerous global markets with respective local teams to underwrite new investment opportunities, provide financial analyses to support investment decisions, optimize execution of existing strategies, conduct market research to analyse both new investment markets for Greystar as well as evaluate new opportunities within current markets.  The Investment Associate is also responsible for training and supporting local teams with best investment practices relating to both new acquisitions as well as optimizing performance of existing ventures.

  • Degree level education or equivalent (2:1 and above) in a related business or analytical subject; such as finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics; science or engineering. 
  • 3-6 Years of relevant work experience an analytical role within investment banking (preferred) or private equity or other related finance. Experience working in Real Estate, or residential sector would be advantageous but not essential. 
  • Strong quantitative background within significant experience with complex financial modelling.
  • Strong qualitative analytical skills; having the ability to research, analyse and present complex financial data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively write and present a strategic or investment thesis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships and influence at all levels
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and having the resourcefulness to figure out ‘difficult to find’ solutions    
  • Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand the bigger picture and get involved with wider team and business objectives
  • A positive team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives.
